What is a remote banker?

A Remote Banker is a banking professional who provides financial services, advice, and support to clients through digital channels, such as phone, video calls, email, or secure online platforms. Unlike traditional bank tellers or in-branch advisors, remote bankers assist customers with transactions, account management, loan applications, and other banking needs without requiring in-person visits. This role is becoming more popular as banks expand their online services to offer greater convenience and accessibility to clients.

The role contributes to strategy execution and governance through research, structured analysis, KPI and scorecard maintenance, and enterprise-level communications.

Working closely with senior consultants, strategy leads, and cross-functional partners, the Enterprise Strategy Analyst contributes to strategy materials, performance reporting, and related discussions by organizing information, identifying relevant themes, and translating priorities into clear outputs and follow-through.

What you’ll be doing:

Research & Insights

  • Contribute to performance reporting and trend analysis by reviewing data, highlighting notable changes, and preparing clear summaries for discussion
  • Maintain clear linkages among strategy objectives, initiatives, measures, and reporting requirements

Governance & Coordination

  • Coordinate preparation, documentation, and follow-up for workshops, governance forums, and enterprise planning cycles
  • Coordinate inputs from cross functional partners to support enterprise reviews and updates
  • Manage records, templates, and artifacts related to enterprise strategy and performance management

Strategic Communications

  • Draft and prepare strategy decks, executive summaries, dashboards, and communications materials
  • Develop and update corporate strategy documents and enterprise scorecards
  • Organize complex strategic information into clear, structured, and audience-appropriate content

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the refinement of strategy processes, tools, and templates
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and insight clarity
  • Contribute to consistent enterprise planning and reporting practices

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in strategy, analytics, planning, or related role
  • Experience preparing executive-level materials or contributing to enterprise initiatives is an asset
  • Familiarity with KPIs, scorecards, or performance reporting frameworks preferred

Any other special requirements necessary to do the job:

  • Remote first
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet business needs, support special projects or contribute to crisis or issues management. Travel within Alberta, and occasional in-office attendance in Edmonton or Calgary, may be required.

Most importantly, we're looking for candidates whose personal values align with our cooperative values. These values are evident in everything we do everyday. We're not afraid to be different from our competitors and in fact we embrace these differences. We celebrate our credit union culture and history, and we pride ourselves on our strong commitment to our member-owners and to the communities we serve.
