G2's Restructuring & Revitalization Advisory Teamprovides solutions for businesses troubled by unsustainable capital structures and/or challenging industry or operating conditions. Our unique team of seasoned C-level executives, restructuring advisors and investment bankers provide our clients with a clear path to long term operational stability, a sustainable capital structure, maximized recoveries following an insolvency proceeding, and ultimately more financial flexibility to achieve their strategic goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business development activities including identifying, pursuing and converting restructuring advisory opportunities
  • Source and originate new clients across G2's restructuring and other adjacent service offerings based on networking and proactive sales and marketing strategies
  • Source and originate engagements for interim CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and/or CROs for underperforming and/or distressed clients across a multitude of industries. Execute such engagements as the interim manager, especially interim Chief Restructuring Officer roles or Chief Financial Officer roles
  • Contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the Restructuring & Revitalization practice team members
  • Collaborate with industry teams and internal stakeholders to define the engagement scope and strategy (needs assessment matched with firm capabilities) and execution plan
  • Develop and manage restructuring plan execution by coordinating key initiatives with stakeholders including our client's employees, board, investors, lenders, customers and any other third parties
  • Act as the lead agent of change for pushing the restructuring process forward with the various parties involved; actively identify gating factors and mitigate risks to successfully drive the client company forward
  • Manage the day-to-day requirements of restructuring-related engagements, including all aspects of the timeline, resource requirements, and deliverables; this includes identifying potential problems that can jeopardize deadlines, providing leadership to clients and G2 resources, and communicating clearly to the team and client
  • Execute specific work streams of the restructuring such as liquidity management, salesforce reorganization, supplier consolidation, overhead cost reductions, business unit divestitures, etc.
  • Provide key oversight to analytical work for projects including financial models, cash flow forecasts, liquidation analyses, and stakeholder waterfalls.
  • Serve as main channel of communication between G2, our clients, and key stakeholders

What We Look For

  • 10-15 years of direct operational and restructuring experience for middle market companies. Proven ability to navigate stressed organizations through difficult financial, market, and internal conditions
  • Experience at a national restructuring firm, management consulting firm, professional services firm or similar institution performing audit, financial recovery or restructuring services (highly required)
  • Familiarity and comfort leading organizations through out-of-court wind downs and in-court restructuring processes including Chapter 11 or 7 bankruptcies, ABCs, and receiverships
  • Operational experience in the following industries a plus: Industrials & Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics, Consumer & Retail and Technology & Business Services
  • Highly proficient in analysis of financial statements and preparation of collateral analysis, liquidation analysis, cash management, accounting and basic costing models
  • Strong educational background: MBA from top tier program or CPA / CIRA / CFA preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams. A commitment to fostering collaboration by sharing knowledge, resources, ideas, and constructive feedback to build stronger teams
  • Exceptional business acumen including detail-oriented listening, written, and oral communication skills paired with a proven ability to manage up and across diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in key client-facing roles, building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with both existing and prospective clients
  • Strong work ethic, including clear ownership of deliverables and clear alignment of G2 values as our clients' trusted advisor; a track record of acting with integrity, consistently choosing to do what's right-even when it's difficult or unnoticed
