Some of what you will do:


ย The Strategic Account Manager is responsible to manage all aspects of the print and promo solutions, contracted by the client. The Strategic Account Manager is accountable to design and implement strategic business plans and reviews for the highest print value customers. In addition, the role has accountability to prospect for new clients and proactively manage the inbound referrals received from various channels. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for customer satisfaction and for the delivery of commitments made by the company. The Strategic Account Manager will guide customers in their buying journey and help them bring their business to life.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Lead Generation & Engagement - Receive inbound referrals from various channels, engage prospects with Staples' value proposition, and nurture them using remote presentations and digital content.
  • Sales Conversion & Portfolio Development - Convert prospects into accounts, build and manage a portfolio of mid-market to large business customers, and apply sales techniques to meet sales and margin targets.
  • Client Relationship Management - Develop and implement strategies to retain and expand client relationships, proactively market new products, and resolve business continuity issues effectively.
  • Sales Process Execution - Conduct virtual meetings throughout the sales cycle-prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation-and manage quoting, sampling, proofing, and pricing.
  • Strategic Planning & Performance Monitoring - Create and revise rolling plans (3-12 months) to identify client needs and opportunities, monitor performance against targets, and share best practices.
  • Project & Program Management - Oversee both project and program work from initiation to post-delivery satisfaction, collaborating with sales support teams for operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Business Development - Track and report sales/service activities, prepare quarterly/annual business reviews, and contribute to business plans for growth and profitability.

  • In-depth knowledge of client relationship management strategies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all products & services offered in the industry
  • Solutions selling, service skills, well developed negotiation skills and relation management skills
  • Good math aptitude and ability to conduct profitability analysis
  • Adept at sourcing relevant data and building business case models to advance ideas
  • Concrete selling experience in local market; understands pricing strategies, competition, and key suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote work environment. ย 
  • Some travel may be required within the designated territory, as determined by the business. A valid driver's license is required for travel. ย
