Position Overview

As a software developer on the Admin AMS team, your mission will be to reimagine the way that Forma Admin enables user access controls. We are undergoing a transformation in how access and permissions are modelled and evaluated. You will collaborate on a team of excellent engineers to accomplish this mission. In addition to this exciting work, you'll be part of a group that owns the Tier 1 core APIs that all ACS products depend on, which encompass some of our most critical data sets at ACS. We have some of the largest reach and impact in the organization. The AMS team is responsible for making access controls as flexible and secure as possible.

This is a position to be based out of our Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver offices on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test software features and system components

• Diagnose and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other system errors

• Collaborate with a variety of teams in Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS), both domestic and abroad

• Take an active role in code reviews & pull requests, get your own code reviewed by the team and become a better developer overall

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or significant equivalent experience

• 2+ years of backend and distributed systems engineering experience

• Experience with SQL/Postgres DB

• Ability to unblock yourself through tough technical challenges

• Strong communication skills with the ability to converse fluently with multiple types of audiences ranging from managers, customers, and software developers

• Ability to convert complex software problems into technical tasks

• Ability to work well in a remote-friendly distributed team to deliver on team goal

• Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects

En tant que developpeur logiciel au sein de l'equipe Admin AMS, votre mission consistera a repenser la maniere dont Forma Admin gere les controles d'acces des utilisateurs. Nous sommes actuellement en pleine transformation de la facon dont les acces et les autorisations sont modelises et evalues. Vous collaborerez au sein d'une equipe d'ingenieurs d'exception pour mener a bien cette mission. En plus de ce travail passionnant, vous ferez partie d'un groupe en charge des API centrales de niveau 1 dont dependent tous les produits ACS, et qui englobent certains de nos ensembles de donnees les plus critiques chez ACS. Notre equipe a une portee et un impact parmi les plus importants au sein de l'organisation. L'equipe AMS est chargee de rendre les controles d'acces aussi flexibles et securises que possible.

Ce poste est a pourvoir dans nos bureaux de Toronto, Montreal ou Vancouver, selon un mode de travail hybride.

Responsabilites

• Concevoir, developper et tester des fonctionnalites logicielles et des composants systeme

• Diagnostiquer et corriger les bogues, les goulots d'etranglement au niveau des performances et autres erreurs systeme

• Collaborer avec diverses equipes d'Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS), tant au Canada qu'a l'etranger

• Jouer un role actif dans les revues de code et les pull requests, faire reviser son propre code par l'equipe et s'ameliorer globalement en tant que developpeur

Qualifications Minimales

• Licence en informatique, en ingenierie ou dans un domaine connexe ; ou experience equivalente significative

• Au moins 2 ans d'experience en ingenierie backend et en systemes distribues

• Experience avec les bases de donnees SQL/Postgres

• Capacite a surmonter les defis techniques complexes

• Solides competences en communication, avec la capacite de s'exprimer couramment aupres de publics varies, allant des responsables aux clients en passant par les developpeurs logiciels

• Capacite a traduire des problemes logiciels complexes en taches techniques

• Capacite a travailler efficacement au sein d'une equipe distribuee et favorable au teletravail afin d'atteindre les objectifs de l'equipe

• Flexibilite face a des conditions changeantes et capacite a mener plusieurs taches de front entre differents projets

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $88,000 and $128,700. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
