Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, services, and APIs that support core product functionality
  • Build robust data pipelines, workflows, and infrastructure to improve data quality, system intelligence, and operational performance
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and system design with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business and technical requirements into production-ready solutions
  • Develop and optimize asynchronous workflows and cloud-native backend services in distributed environments
  • Improve observability, debugging, testing, and monitoring processes across backend systems
  • Drive experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and decision accuracy

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong expertise in backend development and distributed systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or other object-oriented programming languages with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Strong experience designing scalable systems, APIs, and backend architectures in cloud-based environments
  • Hands-on experience with serverless technologies, asynchronous processing, and cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance optimization
  • Proven ability to debug complex systems, solve challenging engineering problems, and deliver high-quality production code
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfortable operating in experimental and iterative product environments focused on rapid learning and innovation
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or machine learning infrastructure is considered a strong advantage
