As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Mind Sight, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving client outcomes. Your key duties will include:

• Conducting engaging individual and group therapy sessions tailored to address the unique emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges encountered by clients in rehabilitation.
• Performing thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their recovery goals.
• Advocating for clients and their families by helping them access community resources, support systems, and necessary social services to aid their recovery.
• Providing immediate support and crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring clients' emotional stability and safety at all times.
• Maintaining thorough and accurate records of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment plans, in strict compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare disciplines, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff, to promote a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to client care.
• Educating clients and their families regarding the emotional aspects of rehabilitation, equipping them with coping strategies and self-care techniques.
• Participating in community outreach activities to enhance referral networks and partnerships, strengthening our services and outreach.

Your work will focus on individuals undergoing rehabilitation for diverse health conditions, including physical injuries, chronic illnesses, and behavioral health challenges. You will support clients tailored to their unique backgrounds and circumstances, providing them with the tools and resources needed to facilitate effective healing.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling or a related field; a Master’s degree or higher is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills vital for effective client interaction.
• A commitment to ethical counseling practices and the confidentiality of sensitive client information.
• The ability to work autonomously while also being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
