As an integral member of our mental health services team, you will provide compassionate and individualized therapy to children, adolescents, and families in a supportive and flexible environment.

About the Organization

We value authenticity, creativity, humor, compassion, acceptance, and determination as our guiding principles. We believe in creating a workplace that not only enhances the lives of our clients but also fosters the growth and well-being of our team members.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals via telehealth platforms, ensuring continuity in the quality of care provided to clients. Our team culture encourages open communication, innovative approaches to therapy, and the sharing of creative interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans that address specific goals.
  • Maintain a caseload of at least 27 client visits per week, ensuring effective time management and prioritization of patient care.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including family systems therapy, narrative therapy, and play therapy, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Document all clinical interactions meticulously, including assessments, treatment updates, and case notes in accordance with company standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, such as case managers, educators, and healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate actively in clinical staff meetings, trainings, and professional development workshops to enhance your skills and contribute to a thriving team culture.
  • Employ creativity in your therapeutic practices, providing engaging and effective interventions that resonate with clients and help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

As an LMFT at Manhattan Behavioral Health, you will work primarily with children, adolescents, and families. This diverse population includes individuals facing various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, family dynamics, behavioral issues, and trauma. You will be expected to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity, engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. We encourage bilingual candidates to apply, as language accessibility enhances client connections and therapeutic effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • A master's degree in a behavioral sciences field or a related area from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a valid LMFT PA clinical license is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in completing clinical documentation, including assessment reports, treatment plans, and case notes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on building therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload and maintain comprehensive documentation within prescribed timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications and familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems; experience with Valant software is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a background check and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Preferred Experience

We highly value candidates with experience in teletherapy and those familiar with best practices for remote mental health service delivery. Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues is also preferred. Background in family therapy, trauma-informed care, or community mental health is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 105,000 per year, with the opportunity for a sign-on bonus.
  • Professional development programs to further enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.
  • Flexible scheduling options that support work-life balance.
  • Hourly pay structure, supplemented with commissions for client sessions.
  • Generous paid holidays, including your birthday, and time off for continuing education.
  • Access to a vast Continuing Education Library (CEUs) to support your professional growth.
  • Compensation for time spent on administrative responsibilities, including consultations and documentation efforts.
