Job Overview:

Implement and operate the cloud, integration, data-pipeline, and delivery automation capabilities needed to bring MIHDF into production. Engineers will translate architecture into secure infrastructure, pipelines, interfaces, automated deployments, testable services, monitoring, and operational documentation. Client has emphasized candidates with AWS, Glue, and FHIR exposure; hard minimum is deep cloud automation, IaC, and DevSecOps CI/CD enforcement.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure through approved IaC tools and repeatable environment-provisioning patterns
  • Implement and enforce secure CI/CD pipelines with automated code, dependency, configuration, vulnerability, policy, and deployment gates
  • Develop and support AWS Glue ingestion and transformation pipelines across structured and unstructured healthcare data sources
  • Build APIs, connectors, interfaces, event-driven services, and data exchanges using FHIR, HL7, X12, CDA/C-CDA, JSON/XML, and secure-file patterns as assigned
  • Automate unit, integration, regression, performance, security, resilience, and disaster-recovery testing in partnership with quality and security teams
  • Implement logs, metrics, traces, alerts, dashboards, correlation IDs, and operational diagnostics for pipelines and interfaces
  • Support releases, cutover, migration, production validation, incident resolution, hypercare, performance tuning, and defect remediation
  • Maintain deployment documentation, code repositories, configuration baselines, interface specifications, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials

Mandatory Qualifications:   

  • 8+ years of cloud infrastructure automation experience
  • 8+ years using infrastructure as code in production delivery environments
  • 8+ years implementing or enforcing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and automated security/quality gates
  • Ability to perform all work within the United States and support Jefferson City onsite needs as directed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on AWS and AWS Glue delivery experience; relevant AWS certification is beneficial
  • FHIR R4, HL7 v2, X12 EDI, CDA/C-CDA, API gateway, healthcare integration, or clinical-data pipeline experience
  • Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or comparable IaC tooling; container, orchestration, artifact-management, and secrets-management experience
  • Medicaid/MMIS/MES, state HHS, HIPAA, MARS-E, NIST, or similarly regulated government healthcare experience
  • Observability, performance engineering, automated testing, release management, and production support experience
