IT AWS Cloud/Systems Administrator
I. Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) to design, implement, and support our enterprise cloud environment while driving the modernization of a hybrid infrastructure spanning AWS and on-premises data centers. This role will partner with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Application teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support the organization's strategic initiatives.
II. Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and support AWS infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
  • Build, implement, and optimize cloud solutions using AWS services including EC2, VPC, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, ALB/NLB, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, and S3.
  • Support hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement cloud security, monitoring, logging, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud architecture, automation, and operational improvements to enhance performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the migration of applications and infrastructure to AWS.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Application teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud services.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, and core AWS services.
  • Experience with API Gateway, Lambda, load balancers, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO), or multi-account AWS environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification.
  • Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise networking.
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and enterprise storage platforms.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Amazon ECS; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments and cloud migration initiatives.
