Job description

Position Summary:

As a Business Development Manager for Flow Controls in the Power & Water industry, you will play a key role in expanding Emerson's presence across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). You will collaborate closely with regional sales teams to strengthen market participation, drive growth across key business opportunities, and position Emerson as a trusted partner in delivering value-driven solutions for Power & Water customers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan to expand market presence across Power & Water sectors in MEA
  • Monitor industry trends, investments, and emerging technologies, and share insights with internal teams
  • Build strong relationships with customers, positioning Emerson as a trusted advisor
  • Drive booking targets and support the achievement of commercial objectives across key business opportunities
  • Lead and manage monthly performance reviews and track progress on strategic initiatives
  • Understand customer needs and identify tailored solutions and value propositions
  • Partner with regional sales teams to pursue and convert new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with global teams to align on solutions, innovation, and market trends
  • Provide technical and application expertise during sales pursuits
  • Deliver technical training to internal teams and customers
  • Review customer specifications to ensure alignment with international standards and avoid competitive bias
  • Support sales teams in optimizing technical and commercial proposals
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the Power & Water industry
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer applications, and industry requirements
  • Experience working with valve or flow control technologies
  • Ability to travel across the MEA region as required
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience in control valve sizing, selection, maintenance, or troubleshooting
  • Exposure to complex or critical service applications within Power & Water industries
  • Advanced business education (such as an MBA)
