Sr. Solutions Architect

Description

This Presales position based in Central or West United States is responsible for working with Gluware and our customers to solve Enterprise network automation challenges.  The ideal candidate has Presales, automation and network expertise and enjoys working with new technology in a fast-paced company to solve customer challenges.  You will interface with customer network engineering and operations teams daily.  The position will report to the Vice President of Presales and Service Delivery.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion the technical win in complex enterprise network automation sales campaigns, partnering closely with Gluware Account Executives.
  • Design solutions to customer challenges utilizing the Gluware platform integrated with third-party systems including ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations that speak directly to customer pain points and use cases.
  • Lead proof of concept (PoC) engagements end-to-end — from scoping through execution — delivering working automation solutions that demonstrate real business value.
  • Build custom automations during PoC engagements that showcase the depth and flexibility of the Gluware platform.
  • Create and deliver targeted technical sales presentations tailored to both engineering and business
  • Act as a trusted automation advisor to customers, becoming a peer-level resource to their senior network and automation architects.
  • Contribute to shared team assets including demo environments, reusable PoC automation templates, and technical collateral.
  • Collaborate with Gluware Engineering, Service Delivery, Sales, and Customer Success teams to drive excellent customer experience.
  • Partner with Solutions Architect peers to tackle unique and complex customer challenges, sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Maintain current market awareness of network, cloud, and competitive technologies, including emerging automation platforms and methodologies.
  • Represent Gluware at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements as a subject matter expert.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with enterprise network architectures, products, and configurations — including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and related network technologies.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing Presales experience, with a proven ability to run complex technical sales cycles.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills — equally comfortable in a whiteboard session with network engineers and a business review with IT leadership.
  • Expertise in network vendor CLI configurations, regular expressions, and JavaScript or Python scripting;
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent desired.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API integrations and data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  • Familiarity with network configuration compliance, audit workflows, and intent-based networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience building or demonstrating AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration.
  • Working knowledge of public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Working knowledge of leading virtualization and container solutions.
  • Self-directed and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (particularly ServiceNow) and enterprise CMDB solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Travel:

  • Up to 30%, with occasional domestic and international travel for customer engagements and industry events.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
  • Meaningful equity — join a high-growth company at a compelling inflection point.
  • Remote-friendly culture with a collaborative, low-ego engineering team.
  • Real ownership: you will shape infrastructure decisions, not just execute tickets.
  • The chance to work at the intersection of enterprise networking and cutting-edge AI automation.
