Axos Bank is seeking a AI & Automation Solution Architect to join our Centers of Excellence (CoE) team. This role enables business unit efficiency and scalability leveraging our evolving suite of platforms and tools. Your primary mission will be to drive adoption of our platforms by identifying, driving solution architecture and deploying high-impact use cases.

Requirements:

  • Embed with business units to conduct "process mining" workshops. Identify bottlenecks, repetitive tasks, and decision-fatigue points ripe for AI agents or automation.

  • Distinguish between problems that require complex GenAI solutions and those better solved by deterministic automation (RPA) or standard software engineering.

  • Translate ambiguous business demands into clearly defined, actionable use cases with well-scoped boundaries and success criteria.

  • Develop high-level vision documents for strategic initiatives, including objectives, high level approach, and success criteria (quality/scope, time-to-market, and ROI) across all platforms owned by the Centers of Excellence such as Salesforce.com, Five9, Decisions, DocuSign, Automation Anywhere, Base64, Oracle ERP, n8n.io and Google's Customer Engagement suite.

  • Create comprehensive discovery and design documents specifying the features and functionality required for the technology teams to develop. Write low-level requirements specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Design robust, secure, and compliant architectures for AI/Automation solutions. Ensure designs account for data privacy, token costs, latency, and integration with existing legacy systems.

  • Works with platform owners and business stakeholders to measure and monitor performance of COE products and solutions.

  • Prioritize future initiatives based on strategic vision, feasibility, market dynamics, client need, and financial impact, revenue potential.

  • Socialize COE product strategy, roadmaps and plans among key stakeholders.

  • Maintain knowledge of technology evolutions and consistently identify opportunities to pilot and innovate on existing and future technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 5+ years experience in software engineering or solution architecture.

  • 1+ years' experience developing and deploying Generative AI related use cases.

  • Experience in a financial services or banking environment.

  • Strategic Modeling: Ability to build ROI models, cost-benefit analyses, and strategic roadmaps.

  • AI/Automation Tech Stack: familiarity with the modern AI landscape (LLMs, RAG, Agents) and Automation platforms (n8n, Retool, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).

  • Rapid Prototyping: Proficiency in Python or TypeScript to build "trace bullet" implementations.

  • Architecture Patterns: Strong grasp of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API integration patterns.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Deep understanding of Sales, Servicing & Back Office Operation in Financial Services.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in technology and business process management.
