Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute opportunity-focused customer, competitor, and market research to develop foundational PTW assumptions.
- Conduct competitive pricing analysis using award history, incumbent performance, procurement trends, contract structures, and comparable market data.
- Develop top-down, bottom-up, and parametric analysis inputs; identify reasonableness ranges and explain key assumptions.
- Build, maintain, and improve bid-specific competitive pricing databases, templates, and analytical workpapers.
- Use analytical platforms and spreadsheet models to identify pricing patterns, cost drivers, and likely competitor strategies.
- Participate in pre-bid and RFP analysis to identify pricing risks, business risks, customer signals, and mitigation options in partnership with Business Development.
- Draft findings, insights, and recommendation materials for review; translate research into clear implications for bid strategy.
- Support strategy sessions, customer value proposition workshops, color/team reviews, and proposal team requests with data-backed insights.
- Mentor Analysts on research methods, data quality expectations, and PTW documentation practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Program Specific Requirements:
- Conduct competitive intelligence, pricing research, market analysis, opportunity research, or bid strategy analysis.
- Ability to collect, validate, organize, and analyze award history, incumbent information, procurement trends, contract structures, market benchmarks, labor categories, pricing patterns, cost drivers, and customer signals.
- Must be comfortable building analytical models, maintaining source logs and workpapers, explaining assumptions, identifying risks, and translating findings into clear implications for PTW, pricing, capture, and proposal decisions.
- Advanced Excel and analytical documentation skills preferred.
This position is fully remote and will require a home office.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
