• Comprehensively assess clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and impact of their mood disorder symptoms, including conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote emotional regulation and healing.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster resilience and recovery.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, addressing both psychological and physical aspects of client health.
• Stay informed on current research and advancements in mood disorder treatment, ensuring adherence to best practices in clinical care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding client privacy.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance professional practice and contribute to a culture of collective growth.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs within the community, addressing stigma and barriers to care.

Your primary focus will be individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse client base, including vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their emotional struggles, develop resilience, and achieve personal goals.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach to client experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage your caseload and administrative tasks.

• Experience in trauma-informed care, particularly for clients with a history of adverse experiences.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources and an understanding of systemic barriers to accessing care.
• Proficiency in working with a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor approaches to individual client needs.

• The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
