Key Responsibilities

In the role of LCSW, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments for patients entering hospice care, collaborating with families to create effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Administering therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, to help patients manage their emotional responses to terminal illnesses.
• Maintaining up-to-date clinical documentation that meets HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all records.
• Collaborating with doctors, psychologists, and nursing staff to provide an integrated approach to patient care, ensuring that psychological, emotional, and physical needs are met.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment progress, share insights, and refine approaches based on the latest research and best practices in the field.
• Educating patients and their families on mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and comfort.
• Staying informed about the latest developments in mental health care, integrating evidence-based practices into your clinical work to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus at Blossom Connections Center is on patients with terminal illnesses and their families. This population often faces significant emotional challenges, including grief, anxiety, and depression. As an LCSW, you will be instrumental in providing holistic care that addresses not only their mental health needs but also their emotional and spiritual well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a solid educational foundation in clinical practices.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia, signifying your commitment to professional standards.
• At least 3 years of experience as a social worker in a clinical or healthcare setting, demonstrating your ability to provide effective therapy and support.
• Proven expertise in various solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, evidencing your capacity to empower clients through meaningful change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport with diverse clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Experience dealing with terminally ill patients or working in hospice and palliative care settings is highly desirable. A background in grief counseling or bereavement support can further enrich your contributions to our team.

Compensation and Benefits
