Mind Addiction Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a fully remote telehealth setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, initiating contact with clients to assess their emotional, behavioral, and mental health status.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans incorporating individual, group, and family therapy methodologies to address diverse client needs.
  • Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and dynamic group therapy discussions to promote shared experiences and collective healing.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, physical health professionals, nurses, and social workers to create a cohesive treatment strategy that supports recovery.
  • Provide resources and support for families and caregivers, enabling them to assist clients in managing mental health challenges effectively.
  • Identify potential crises or behavioral issues that may hinder client recovery, offering proactive support and intervention.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with include individuals experiencing a range of behavioral health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our diverse clientele benefits from a counselor who demonstrates empathy, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of varying backgrounds and experiences. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe space for clients as they share their stories and work toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with evidence of proficiency.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective documentation and personal interaction with clients.
  • Solid understanding of the effects of pharmacological treatments prescribed by other medical professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of prior experience as a mental health counselor, with demonstrated expertise in both individual and group therapy contexts.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to manage client data and treatment plans securely.
  • Experience working with underlying physical health conditions and addiction issues, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of client challenges.
  • Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, supportive demeanor that creates a trusting environment for clients.
Compensation and Benefits
