Job description

ITSM Release Mgmt/DPR sustainment and advancement/ Software Developer:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Software Developer to support the sustainment, enhancement, and advancement of ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Release Management and Digital Product Release (DPR) processes. This role is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate workflows, and enable scalable release governance across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate combines deep ServiceNow platform expertise with strong software development skills in JavaScript, Python, and API integration. The candidate will work closely with process owners, product managers, release managers, and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions that support business objectives and continuous improvement.
Experience in Change Management preferred
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows/flows, APIs and other capabilities as needed/assigned.
• Develop and maintain unit tests as part of development cycle.
• Maintain Knowledge Articles as associated with functionality and as assigned.
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of enhancements to ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, DPR, and others.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
Basic Qualifications:
• US Citizenship Required.
• 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow configuration, customization, scripting, and development.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent technical skills, including: ServiceNow scripting (e.g., Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer), ServiceNow configuration (e.g., tables, fields, forms).
• Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM, particularly Change and Release Management.
• Demonstrated experience supporting sustainment and enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Service Catalog development.
• Knowledge of CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated organization skills to successfully track, manage, and report on the status of a wide variety of deliverables in an agile environment.
• This role is critical to maintaining and advancing enterprise ServiceNow capabilities that support ITSM and digital product delivery. The successful candidate will drive automation, improve release governance, and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Release Management and DPR Support
• Sustain and enhance ServiceNow Release Management capabilities to support enterprise release planning, coordination, and execution.
• Implement and optimize Digital Product Release (DPR) workflows and governance processes.
• Automate release approvals, deployment schedules, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
• Integrate ServiceNow with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and other deployment platforms.
• Support release calendars, dependency tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
Sustainment and Continuous Improvement
• Provide ongoing application support, defect resolution, and performance tuning.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and predictive capabilities within ServiceNow.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and development artifacts.
Preferred Qualifications
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow ITSM Implementation Specialist.
• Familiarity with AI capabilities such as ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, and GenAI.
