Due to the on-site requirements of this position, applicants are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated work location (Broomfield, CO). This role does not offer relocation.
Job Summary
Designs, develops, documents, and maintains software to support development or ZOLL products. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of ZOLL ACT products, and custom interfaces between ZOLL products and other vendor's applications and maintaining and supporting existing interfaces and Cloud APIs. Critical to the success of this role will be understanding the range of technical business needs, requirements and being able to effectively document technical specifications. You will also be involved with projects for customers interfacing with a variety of ZOLL products. Having a capability in software development is the desired future of this position, as you manage On Prem and Cloud software, documenting software specifications and user guides, and may execute a mix of automated and traditional manual testing. You will be involved with the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to release.
Essential Functions
  • Develops, documents, and maintains high quality software designs, source code, and unit tests for product software or supporting software such as tools (e.g., parsers, simulators)
  • Performs software integration activities for integrating software to software or hardware subsystems
  • Develops, documents, and executes software unit verification procedures
  • Participates in and supports the development of, and sometimes executes portions of, software verification protocols
  • Reports own progress towards performance and schedule objectives.
  • Stays current with software engineering trends and technologies through activities such as self- study, webinars, seminars, user group meetings and conferences
  • Follows standard operating procedures and software engineering best practices
  • Collaborates with team members and contributes to positive team environment that creates high quality solutions

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • BS degree required or
  • Equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related engineering or science discipline required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and Experience with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative and self sufficiency
  • Effective problem-solving skills

The annual salary for this position is:
$85,000.00 to $105,000.00
This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
