Join our elite engineering team as a Software Architect supporting Aviation and Missile Center, Precision Fires team located on Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • BS in Computer Science / Engineering or related technical field and nine (9) years of experience; six (6) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mastery of C++ for real-time tactical systems and Python for scripting and support.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present complex subjects in a simple manner to stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think both strategically and critically.
  • Demonstrated effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding and application of Agile SW development methodologies and DevSecOps pipelines.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must have an active SECRET clearance prior to start. 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience as SW architect or SW lead with focus on SW development and integration into complex embedded systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SW architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proven success leading SW modernization efforts.
  • Proven application of AI to improve and enhance processes, workflows, and software quality.
  • Experience with distributed, embedded, systems including RTOS.
  • Highly prefer experience with safety-critical software architectures.
  • Ability to mentor software engineers on correct architecture, design, and implementation processes.
  • Experience with SysML/UML, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) methodologies, and architecture tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect).
