Job description

As a Survey Technician, you will play an important role in supporting survey projects that inform design, development, and construction work. This role contributes to the accuracy and quality of project deliverables while partnering closely with surveyors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to keep active assignments moving forward.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with land surveying fieldwork and collect accurate site measurements.
  • Prepare survey drawings, plats, and mapping documents using Civil 3D/AutoCAD software.
  • Conduct research and review legal descriptions.
  • Process field data and maintain precise records for project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project teams on active assignments.
  • Support boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys as needed.

Requirements
  • Associate degree in surveying or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on surveying experience, including field surveying work such as collecting site measurements, processing field data, or supporting construction staking work.
  • Experience with Civil 3D for survey drawings, plats, and mapping deliverables.
  • Familiarity with boundary, topographic, and construction staking survey workflows.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Experience coordinating with surveyors, engineers, and project teams is a plus.

When completing office work, you'll have the option to work from your home or from our Madison office.
