• Conduct thorough assessments of new clients to understand their mental health history, needs, and treatment goals, utilizing collaborative and person-centered techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions that promote client well-being and address specific mental health issues.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring each client's information is protected.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team that may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to provide holistic care and support.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health practices, treatment options, and coping strategies, fostering a supportive dialogue and promoting engagement in their care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health care, actively seeking out continuing education opportunities to enhance your professional skills.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia is essential for this position.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a mental health setting is necessary to qualify.
• Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy and various therapeutic modalities to address a range of mental health issues.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills to analyze client situations and develop appropriate interventions.

• Experience working with trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Background in crisis intervention and management is an asset.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software to streamline documentation and client tracking.
