Remote Artist Manager information

What are Remote Artist Managers?

Remote Artist Managers are professionals who oversee the careers and business affairs of artists, such as musicians, actors, or visual creators, while working from a location outside of the artist's physical vicinity. They handle tasks like contract negotiations, promotion, scheduling, and networking with industry contacts, using digital communication tools. This remote arrangement allows for greater flexibility and the ability to work with clients from diverse locations, making it easier for artists to access specialized management regardless of geography.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Artist Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Artist Manager, you need a solid understanding of the music or entertainment industry, contract negotiation, and project management, often supported by a degree in business, arts management, or a related field. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools, music distribution platforms, and CRM systems is typically required. Exceptional communication, organization, and networking abilities help you build relationships and coordinate effectively with artists and industry professionals. These skills ensure efficient remote management, maximize artists' opportunities, and foster long-term professional growth.

How does a remote artist manager effectively coordinate with artists and industry contacts across different time zones?

Coordinating across multiple time zones is a common challenge for remote artist managers. Success often relies on strong organizational skills, clear communication, and using digital tools like shared calendars, project management platforms, and video conferencing. Managers typically set regular check-ins with artists and maintain proactive communication with agents, labels, and promoters to ensure everyone stays aligned. Flexibility in scheduling and an understanding of various time zones are essential to avoid missed opportunities and keep projects moving forward smoothly.

Start Date:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-efficiency Production Artist / Graphic Designer to join our growing internal marketing team. The organization is undergoing a corporate rebrand and launching a new website. With a finalized brand style guide, the ideal candidate will lead the updating, formatting, and migration of an extensive library of sales collateral, presentation decks, and marketing assets into the new brand identity.
This is a 100% remote contract role 40 hours per week, depending on project needs with the potential to transition into a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Migration & Layout: Apply the established brand style guide across a high volume of existing presentation decks, sales collateral, and marketing materials.
  • Collateral Production: Design and produce polished marketing assets, including brochures, data sheets, whitepapers, and other sales materials.
  • Digital Asset Creation: Create web banners, social media graphics, and other digital marketing assets based on provided specifications.
  • File Management & Collaboration: Maintain an organized cloud-based file system, package clean vector and layered files, and prepare assets for handoff to web developers and external vendors.
  • Independent Execution: Manage production projects from start to finish with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and consistency.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Illustrator (Photoshop is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, alignment, and color consistency.
  • Experience working within a cloud-based collaboration environment (such as Google Workspace).
  • Comfortable with production-focused design work requiring efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Experience creating marketing assets for B2B, technology, SaaS, or enterprise software organizations is a plus but not required.

Job Logistics
  • Hours: Flexible but consistent, typically ranging from 40 hours per week depending on workload.
  • Location: 100% remote. Candidates should be available during Central or Eastern Time business hours for team collaboration.
  • Opportunity: Contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on business needs and performance.
