Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Record Keeper in Texas to support CMT recordkeeping for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This full-time position is preferred to be located near the TxDOT offices in Austin, Texas, but remote work from another Wood Texas office or at home will also be considered. Key components of this position include:

  • Maintain all job records including documents such as test reports, emails, other correspondence, and material tickets.
  • Maintain all documentation using the electronic filing system preferred by the State.
  • Maintain, create, and edit technical documents such as test procedures and material specifications in Microsoft Word.
  • Maintain, update, and audit State equipment calibration records for completion as requested by the State.
  • Check documentation to ensure that formats comply with company and client standards
  • Archive hardcopy or electronically records in accordance with Client requirements
  • Ensure all project documentation is imported into document management system and filed accordingly
  • Ensure all documentation is transmitted to the client as per client requirements and in an expedient manner
  • Archiving and retrieval of historical documentation
  • Provide assistance with respect to any document management system queries
  • Quality check of all Documentation prior to issuing/transmitting
  • Responsible for the handling of requests for new Document numbers/hard copy documentation
  • Scanning, printing and copying of project documentation as required
  • Monitor progress of reviews of technical documentation
  • Follow and maintain a systematic and comprehensive filing system required by the State
  • Manage the supplier document submission process acting as a key point of contact for system and process related queries
Skills / Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications

  • Personnel must have the required knowledge of SiteManager necessary to perform recordkeeping tasks.
  • Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience in Record Keeping associated with CMT projects
  • Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required of job function (CMT certifications, calibrations, and testing reports/documentation)
  • Previous experience as a document controller or Record Keeper for CMT projects
  • Working familiarity with MS Office applications and ability to manipulate PDF's and convert from excel to PDF
  • Ability to learn in house document control systems, strong experience with document control processes, procedures and systems
  • Ability to work remotely and independently with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.

Preferred:

  • Excellent word, excel and document control systems experience
  • Experience archiving documents electronically
