Sr. Salesforce Developer

Reporting to: Sr. Director, IT Billing & Revenue Systems
Location: Canada (Remote)

Role Overview:

Genesys is seeking a skilled and delivery-focused Salesforce Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of our Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) systems. This role will work across Salesforce platforms (including CPQ and core CRM) to deliver maintainable solutions that support quoting, order management, and integration with downstream billing and revenue systems.

As part of the Q2C engineering team, you will collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Product Owners, and Business Systems Analysts to assist in translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and seamless integration with platforms such as Zuora and other enterprise systems.

Success in this role requires strong hands-on development expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions across core CRM and CPQ, including custom objects, flows, Apex, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads and BSAs to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliverables.
  • Support development and maintenance of integrations between Salesforce and downstream systems such as Zuora, middleware, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Lightning components, and configuration-based solutions following established standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to development standards, best practices, and performance considerations.
  • Support unit testing, system testing, and defect resolution, ensuring high-quality releases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, including debugging, log analysis, and data validation.
  • Contribute to release activities, including deployment support, validation, and post-release monitoring.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, data mappings, and configuration details.
  • Collaborate with QA and other teams to ensure end-to-end system functionality and data integrity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Salesforce development, including hands-on coding and configuration.
  • Strong experience with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows and Salesforce Revenue Cloud or CPQ systems
  • Experience working with Salesforce integrations, including APIs, middleware, and asynchronous processing.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and platform capabilities.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems with high data volume and complex workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze system behavior and data issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, agile environment.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes.
  • Familiarity with Zuora Billing or other subscription billing platforms.
  • Experience with integration patterns across Salesforce and external systems.
  • Experience with GitHub CI/CD and AWS platforms.
  • Exposure to SaaS subscription and usage-based business models.
  • Experience working in SOX-controlled or regulated environments.
