Job Description

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with deep expertise in banking domain and microservices architecture to join our growing engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance financial applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable backend services using .NET 6/7/8 and ASP.NET Core
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services following microservices architecture patterns
Work on core banking modules including payments, transactions, accounts, and compliance
Design and optimize relational database schemas, stored procedures, and complex queries for high-volume transactional systems
Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus
Collaborate with architects to define service boundaries, API contracts, and data ownership
Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS, SOX, and other banking compliance standards
Implement security best practices: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API Gateway patterns
Write unit, integration, and contract tests with high code coverage
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning
Work with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions)
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, or ELK

Required Skills & Experience:
6+ years of hands-on experience with .NET / C# development
Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, LINQ
Proven experience building microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
Solid understanding of banking domain - payments (SWIFT, ACH, SEPA), core banking, lending, or cards
Strong SQL proficiency - complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, indexes, and query optimization
Hands-on experience with relational databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle in high-transaction financial environments
Experience designing normalized database schemas, handling ACID transactions, and ensuring data integrity across microservices
Proficiency in writing and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, and views
Understanding of database partitioning, sharding, and replication strategies for scalability
Experience with database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase, or EF Core Migrations)
Experience with message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus
Familiarity with Redis for distributed caching and session management
Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud-native services
Strong grasp of SOLID principles, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), and CQRS/Event Sourcing
Experience with API Gateway tools (APIM, Kong, Ocelot

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 80,000 - 90,000.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
