• Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients through effective communication and empathy.
• Diagnose mental health disorders using recognized assessment techniques and formulate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct periodic reviews and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and external specialists to provide comprehensive care to clients.
• Document therapy sessions, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.

As a therapist at Bison Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals and families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Our client base is diverse, encompassing various age groups and backgrounds, which allows for rich and varied therapeutic experiences. Your role will be pivotal in guiding clients through their struggles, promoting healthier lifestyles, and fostering resilience.

• Active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Strong clinical skills with experience providing individual and/or group therapy.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities to balance client sessions and administrative responsibilities effectively.

• Experience working in outpatient therapy settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques, specifically those related to family therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques for effective virtual therapy.
