Job description

Do you enjoy turning complex warehouse operations and system challenges into scalable solutions that drive business success? As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing warehouse management system (WMS) solutions for both new and existing distribution and fulfillment operations. Partnering closely with clients, business leaders, and technology teams, you will gather requirements, improve business processes, support system integrations, and help ensure successful WMS implementations and enhancements. This position combines business analysis, process improvement, testing, training, and application support to drive operational excellence across our logistics network. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS functionality, and system integrations, along with a passion for solving problems and delivering value to end users and customers.

Work Location:Remote

Work Schedule:First Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5pm

Work Travel:Up to 15% of domestic travel depending on needs of the business and subject to change.

Competitive Compensation:Attractive annual salary of $68,000 - $90,000 plus a performance-based bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with clients, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements through Statements of Work (SOWs), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
  • Leads workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify business needs, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Create detailed process maps, workflow documentation, and business requirements that support operational efficiency and successful solution design.
  • Develop ad hoc SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, system troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Creates and execute system testing strategies, including test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop end-user training materials and support training delivery to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Provide Level 2 application support by troubleshooting issues, resolving system-related challenges, and serving as a key resource for end users and business partners.
  • Collaborate with software vendors and internal development teams to design, test, and implement WMS enhancements, integrations, and new functionality.
  • Participates in solution design reviews for system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document integration requirements, including data mapping, workflows, and business processes, to support seamless connectivity between client and internal systems.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and system-related updates effectively with stakeholders, end users, and leadership teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional relevant leadership experience may be considered in lieu of higher education.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with Manhattan WMS, HighJump, or other Tier 1 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze business processes, workflows, and operational requirements.
  • Experience with process mapping and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience developing business requirements, procedural documentation, training materials, and presentations.
  • Experience with interface data mapping using EDI and XML formats.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, troubleshooting issues, and serve as a key resource for end users.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst within the supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or distribution industry.
  • Experience with JSON and SOAP integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business process reengineering initiatives.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for system functionality, troubleshooting, and user support.
