Posting Title: JDE Business Systems Analyst – HR/Payroll 
Reports To: Senior Manager, Financial Systems
Location: San Jose, California (Hybrid) | Greater San Francisco Bay Area | Remote 
Salary Range: $130,500 to $172,000 
 
Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
The JDE HR/Payroll Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between HR/Payroll business units and the IT department to support, maintain, and improve the systems and processes that enable HR and Payroll operations. This role involves analyzing business needs, identifying system and process improvements, translating requirements into technical specifications, and working closely with developers and subject matter experts to implement solutions. The analyst will also support application governance, ensure compliance, and help optimize system usage and performance.  
 
  • Partner with HR and Payroll teams to understand operational needs, system gaps, and improvement opportunities. 
  • Document, analyze, and assess current HR/Payroll business processes and underlying systems (e.g., JDE, Arcoro, Vairkko, Paycor). 
  • Elicit, capture, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements. 
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical documentation and system specifications. 
  • Assist in solution design, data mapping, integrations, and interface specifications. 
  • Coordinate testing activities, including test case development, UAT facilitation, and issue resolution. 
  • Participate in system configuration, data conversion, and go-live support for HR/Payroll system enhancements or implementations. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver system solutions aligned with business goals. 
  • Ensure changes follow IT governance, audit, and SOX compliance standards. 
  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and training for HR/Payroll systems. 
 
ABOUT YOU
 
  • Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and terminology. 
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as JDEdwards, Paycor, Arcoro, or similar platforms. 
  • Ability to interpret user requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Proficiency in documenting workflows, business rules, data flows, and user stories. 
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Familiarity with access controls, system audits, and compliance requirements. 
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, training sessions, or process reviews. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
 
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field. (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.) 
 
Licensure/Certifications: N/A
 
Experience:
  •  5+ years of experience in a business systems analyst role supporting JDE HR and/or Payroll systems. Experience in the construction, engineering, or related industries is a plus.  
  • Working knowledge of system implementation lifecycles and change management practices. Understanding of SOX and data privacy standards in HRIS/Payroll environments preferred.
