Job description

UI/UX Designer – Augmented Reality (AR) Smart Glasses Application Location: Remote Type: Contract / Freelance Start Date: ASAP About the Role: BANC3 is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team on a contract basis to help design the user interface for an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) software application. The application is being developed for use on smart glasses . At BANC3, we're developing cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) applications for smart glasses, such as training for the DoD including the U.S.

Air Force, Navy, Army and Space customers. We are looking for a creative UI/UX Designer to work alongside our strong tech development team — to help us craft an interface that's intuitive, easy on the eyes, and optimized for real-world military environments. We are looking for a design expert who can help create a visual and interactive experience that is intuitive, clear, and optimized for mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities: Design user-friendly, visually clear UI components for AR smart glasses. Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Focus on usability, legibility, and cognitive load in hands-free, heads-up displays.

Collaborate closely with software developers to ensure design feasibility and accuracy. Iterate on user feedback from internal and field testing. Required Qualifications: Proven experience designing UI/UX for AR/VR, wearables, or mobile platforms (portfolio required).

Strong understanding of spatial interface design and user-centered principles. Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar. Ability to design for environments with limited hand interaction and high information density.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with defense, aerospace, or industrial UX design. Familiarity with the unique constraints of military field operations.

U.S. citizenship or ability to work with defense contractors. Why Join BANC3?

Work on cutting-edge AR technology with real-world military applications. Collaborate with a highly skilled and innovative development team. Flexible remote work environment.

Opportunity to help shape the future of AR user interfaces in mission-critical environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
