As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Conduct engaging and supportive group therapy sessions that encourage camaraderie among clients, promoting shared experiences and collective learning.
• Providing Individual Counseling: Deliver personalized sessions focused on understanding clients' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and help them develop effective coping strategies.
• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans that align with their unique preferences and needs.
• Monitoring Progress: Use assessment tools to evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment approaches based on feedback and outcomes.
• Collaborating with Team Members: Engage with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to care, including regular case consultations and coordination of services.

This role primarily focuses on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are navigating various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and transitional difficulties. You will be working within a PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) framework, providing essential support to help this demographic achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall well-being.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to client-centered care.
• Proficiency in virtual counseling platforms and the ability to adapt to remote therapeutic practices.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will have a competitive edge:

• Previous experience working with young adults in a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or mindfulness practices.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
