NVE is seeking a highly organized, analytical Business Development Analyst to support the identification, qualification, tracking, and advancement of federal contracting opportunities. This role maintains the accuracy of NVE's BD pipeline, monitors federal procurement sources, conducts early-stage opportunity research, and supports Gate 0 qualification activities. It is well suited for someone building a career in federal business development, capture management, and proposal support, and will work closely with the VP of Business Development, capture managers, proposal personnel, and operations and pricing leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor SAM.gov, GovWin IQ, GovTribe, GSA eBuy, and other procurement sources to identify, track, and distribute relevant opportunities, amendments, and deadlines.Create and maintain accurate, current opportunity records in the BD pipeline, including customer, contract value, NAICS, set-aside status, and next steps.Conduct early-stage research and prepare Gate 0 qualification materials, including customer priorities, requirements, competitive landscape, and teaming needs.Support active capture efforts through customer, competitor, and partner research, and assist with capture plans and pursuit schedules.Organize and metatag business development, capture, proposal, and past performance files for searchability and reuse.Support conferences and industry events, from logistics and coordination to representing NVE on-site alongside the BD team as needed.Assist with past performance data, proposal research, data calls, and compliance tracking.Prepare recurring reports on pipeline activity, forecasts, and data quality, and support process improvement initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.1–3 years of experience in business development, federal contracting, market research, or proposal support.Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft 365; ability to learn procurement and CRM/pipeline platforms.Preferred: experience with SAM.gov, GovWin IQ, GovTribe, or similar tools; familiarity with the federal acquisition lifecycle and Shipley BD/proposal methodology.
