Job description

We are seeking experienced Epic analysts to support a dynamic healthcare technology environment focused on revenue cycle operations, workflow optimization, and system enhancements. This contract opportunity offers the chance to partner with operational teams, contribute to meaningful improvements, and support critical billing and access processes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support maintenance, enhancements, and upgrade activities across Epic Hospital Billing and Epic Professional Billing environments.
  • Partner with Patient Access and revenue cycle teams to analyze workflows and improve application performance.
  • Assist with implementation, testing, incident resolution, and change control processes.
  • Contribute to build, configuration, and ongoing support for billing, claims, and related integrated workflows.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues to help maintain smooth operations.
  • Develop documentation and support training efforts for operational stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project work, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
Skills
  • 5โ€“8+ years of healthcare IT experience.
  • 3โ€“5+ years of experience supporting Epic Professional Billing and/or Epic Hospital Billing.
  • Epic certification in Professional Billing or Hospital Billing is required.
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows, including claims, charge capture, reimbursement, denials, and payment posting.
  • Experience with application configuration, workflow analysis, integrated testing, and upgrade planning.
  • Working knowledge of Epic build components, including Chronicles, master files, workqueues, and billing rules.
  • Ability to support reporting and analytics through tools such as Reporting Workbench and Clarity data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.
  • Self-directed approach with the ability to manage complex work and contribute as a subject matter expert.
Preferred Skills
  • Additional Epic certifications such as Resolute Professional Billing, Resolute Hospital Billing, Claims, Contract Management, Charge Router, Reporting Workbench, or Clarity Data Model.
  • Experience supporting multiple hospitals or health systems.
  • Background in facility billing, inpatient billing, outpatient billing, and revenue integrity processes.
  • Familiarity with CMS-1500 and UB-04 billing requirements, payer rules, and reimbursement concepts.
  • Experience leading implementations, workflow redesigns, or optimization projects.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, guide testing efforts, and support documentation and training materials.
