We support 100% remote work for this role!
We'd love to hear from you if:
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.
As a Data Analyst within Tinuiti's Client Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations directly to our clients. You will be instrumental in leveraging data from Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and Amazon Advertising to optimize their marketing performance and achieve their business goals on the Amazon platform. You will work closely with client-facing marketing managers, campaign specialists, and other stakeholders, both internally and externally, to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and actionable strategies. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to data science projects, providing a pathway for growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
  • Data Extraction and Management: Extract, clean, transform, and load data from Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), Amazon Advertising (Seller Central/Vendor Central), and potentially other relevant data sources.
  • AMC Expertise: Deeply understand and effectively utilize Amazon Marketing Cloud to conduct advanced audience segmentation, campaign performance analysis, path-to-conversion studies, and other custom analyses for client accounts.
  • Amazon Advertising Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across various Amazon Advertising channels (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Amazon DSP) for our clients.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular and client-facing reports and dashboards to visualize key trends, campaign performance, and insights.
  • Insight Generation: Identify significant trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization within Amazon marketing and advertising data specific to client objectives.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and present them directly to clients to improve campaign efficiency, targeting strategies, and overall marketing effectiveness on Amazon.
  • Experiment Design and Analysis: Collaborate with client teams to design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of marketing initiatives.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate data findings, insights, and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with internal marketing managers and campaign specialists, as well as directly with client stakeholders, to understand their data needs and provide relevant analysis and support.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes for client accounts.
  • Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest features and updates within Amazon Marketing Cloud and Amazon Advertising to provide clients with the most up-to-date strategies.
  • Junior Data Science Projects (Examples):
    • Assist in developing predictive models for forecasting client product demand on Amazon.
    • Contribute to client projects involving customer segmentation and lifetime value analysis to inform their Amazon strategy.
    • Support the development of algorithms to optimize bidding strategies on Amazon Advertising for client campaigns.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Data Science preferred
  • Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC). This includes data querying, audience building, and leveraging AMC tools for advanced analysis to address client needs.
  • Experience with Amazon Advertising platforms (Seller Central and/or Vendor Central). Understanding of campaign structures, reporting metrics, and optimization levers is crucial for client success.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions relevant to client business objectives.
  • Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to create compelling client-facing reports.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical findings and strategic recommendations to clients of varying technical understanding.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy in all client deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within internal teams and directly with clients.
