Job description

ActionVFX is rapidly expanding the ActionVFX Academy, and we're hiring experienced Course Editors to help us scale production quickly and efficiently. This is a remote contractor role for editors who thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership of their workflow, and understand how to transform recorded material into polished, high-quality educational products. You won't just be assembling footage.

You will own the post-production process, from raw recordings through final, LMS‐ready course delivery. We are moving quickly and looking to engage contractors immediately. This role begins as a contract engagement, with the potential to expand into a long‐term or full‐time opportunity as the Academy grows.

Who We Are: ActionVFX is a visual effects stock footage company based in Johnson City, Tennessee. We create world‐class creative assets used by film, VFX, and game professionals around the world. Projects that have used ActionVFX products include Stranger Things (Netflix), Spider‐Man: Far From Home (Marvel), The Walking Dead (AMC), Call of Duty: WWII (Activision), Arrow (CW), Jack Ryan (Amazon), and more.

In addition to building the world's leading VFX asset library, we're building the ActionVFX Academy, an education platform designed to help serious VFX professionals leverage emerging technologies, create breathtaking visuals, and move their work and careers forward through professional courses and practice footage. What You'll Own: End-to-End Course Post-Production Full editing of Academy courses from raw footage through final delivery Structuring and pacing lessons for clarity, engagement, and instructional effectiveness Designing, animating, and applying graphics, branding, callouts, and supporting visuals Ensuring consistent quality across all modules Preparing content for LMS upload Maintaining clean, organized project files and archives Receiving feedback on your work and making edits to finalize videos and graphics Quick and effective problem solving for issues that arise while editing You will work directly with the ActionVFX team. We expect clear and proactive communication, strong organization, and the ability to move projects forward without heavy oversight.

What We're Looking For: 3+ years professional editing experience Experience editing in DaVinci Resolve and creating animated graphics in Resolve or AfterEffects Proven experience editing educational, tutorial, or course-based content Strong pacing instincts for instructional clarity Extremely organized workflow and file management Ability to manage multiple active projects Reliable turnaround and deadline ownership Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team Bonus: Familiarity with VFX, creative software, or technical tutorials Experience preparing content for LMS platforms This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who: Thinks like a producer, not just an editor Moves quickly without sacrificing quality Cares deeply about learner experience Builds clean systems and efficient workflows Next Step: We're reviewing applications immediately and scheduling interviews quickly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
