Job Overview

Business Solutions, part of DuPont, is comprised of Home Improvement, Corian Design and Performance Building Solutions with multiple globally recognized brands - Great Stuff, Great Stuff Pro, Froth-Pak, Styrofoam, Tyvek, Corian Design, and others. Home Improvement sells its products primarily through North American retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Orgill, Do it Best, and Amazon, while also expanding through select non-retail channels to reach DIY homeowners, professional contractors, and other end users.

The National Sales Manager represents the full Home Improvement portfolio to assigned customers and channels. This role leads account planning, coordinates internal support teams, and ensures customer needs, growth goals, and service expectations are met. The role manages between 4-6 direct reports and is a key member of the Home Improvement Leadership Team, helping shape strategic priorities, growth initiatives, channel direction, and commercial execution across retail and non-retail markets.

The National Sales Manager uses data and customer insights to support forecasting, product placement, inventory planning, and go-to-market execution. The role also manages customer programs, contracts, line reviews, and channel opportunities to drive sell-through and profitable growth. This position plays a critical strategic role in accelerating growth, expanding the portfolio, strengthening customer partnerships, and aligning sales execution with long-term business objectives.

Location: Remote

Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for customer engagements

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads relationships with key Home Improvement retail and non-retail accounts, building strong partnerships and identifying opportunities for profitable growth

  • Meets or exceeds volume, revenue, and margin goals for assigned national accounts, adjacent licensed products, and targeted channel expansion opportunities

  • Manages, coaches, and develops a team of 4-6 direct reports, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations aligned with business growth goals

  • Serves as a key member of the Home Improvement Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, annual business priorities, commercial decision-making, and cross-functional execution

  • Leads the account team and Manufacturing Rep agencies, partnering across functions to achieve goals, support customers, and resolve issues quickly

  • Provides and improves forecasts for assigned national accounts in partnership with the forecasting team

  • Develops and executes growth-oriented account and channel plans across retail, eCommerce, professional, distributor, and selected non-retail channels

  • Leads preparation and participation for buy shows, line reviews, annual meetings, partnership discussions, and store walks

  • Identifies, prioritizes, and develops new business opportunities, including product expansion, channel whitespace, customer programs, and strategic partnerships that support long-term growth

  • Builds retail and non-retail channel strategies and partner relationships that expand market reach, strengthen brand positioning, and complement the retail growth strategy

  • Manages customer contracts, rebate programs, and co-op programs as needed

  • Tracks competitive activity and customer needs, sharing insights with the broader retail team

  • Partners with marketing, product management, supply chain, finance, legal, and operations to align customer commitments, innovation priorities, supply readiness, pricing actions, and execution plans

Qualifications

Required:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of four years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business-to-consumer sales environment

  • Experience in construction, hardware, and/or retail home improvement

  • Previous people management experience

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for customer engagements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Inquisitive, highly accountable nature to drive to root causes and seek creative solutions

  • Proven ability to partner and work successfully across functions

  • Retail reporting and data analytics experience
