Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence professional to lead enterprise reporting, dashboard development, and operational analytics initiatives. This individual will partner cross-functionally with business and technology teams to transform complex data into actionable insights that improve performance, support strategic decision-making, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines advanced SQL and Power BI expertise with strong business acumen, communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Manage reporting initiatives from requirements gathering and development through deployment, optimization, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Create robust data models, DAX calculations, calculated measures, and row-level security configurations.
  • Develop visually intuitive reporting solutions tailored to operational, financial, and executive audiences.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and usability across multiple stakeholder groups.
Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze large, multi-source datasets to identify trends, risks, operational gaps, and performance opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to explain metric changes and operational performance fluctuations.
  • Build analytical frameworks and reporting methodologies to support forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic planning.
  • Support experimentation and performance measurement initiatives through statistical and comparative analysis techniques.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
SQL Development & Data Management
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries, stored procedure logic, and complex joins within SQL Server environments.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and troubleshoot reporting or data integrity issues independently.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand upstream data flows, ETL processes, and reporting dependencies.
  • Monitor and validate data quality across reporting pipelines and escalate discrepancies when identified.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to reporting performance, automation, and scalability.
Automation & Process Improvement
  • Develop automation solutions using Power Automate, VBA, and related technologies to streamline recurring reporting processes.
  • Improve report delivery workflows, refresh schedules, and distribution processes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency through automation and process redesign.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Client Services teams to define reporting requirements and business metrics.
  • Present analytical findings and reporting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support business planning initiatives through data-driven modeling, forecasting, and operational analysis.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with internal governance standards and applicable regulatory or compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or data-focused roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL, including CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and complex joins.
  • Hands-on experience developing enterprise reporting solutions within Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and security configuration.
  • Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Pivot, and automation capabilities.
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics concepts such as predictive insights, anomaly detection, or automated reporting workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
