THE COMPANY

Our client is an established outdoor and location-based advertising company that helps local businesses and national brands reach consumers through high-visibility media. Their portfolio includes billboards, digital displays, transportation advertising, airport media, and other out-of-home advertising solutions. This opportunity supports a growing airport advertising program in the Raleigh-Durham market.


THE JOB

The Airport Advertising Manager will be responsible for developing and growing airport advertising business throughout the Raleigh-Durham market. This is a relationship-driven outside sales role focused on prospecting, meeting with customers, presenting advertising solutions, and closing new business. The role is remote from a traditional office standpoint but requires regular time in the local market and at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The person hired should live within a reasonable driving distance of the airport and be comfortable meeting customers, conducting airport tours, and supporting local accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new airport advertising business throughout the Raleigh-Durham market
  • Build relationships with local businesses, agencies, and regional advertisers
  • Conduct outbound prospecting, customer meetings, presentations, and airport tours
  • Sell advertising through a consultative, relationship-based approach
  • Develop proposals and campaign recommendations for prospective customers
  • Negotiate opportunities and close new business
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
  • Manage pipeline, opportunities, and account activity through Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Coordinate with internal marketing, fulfillment, sales, billing, and operations teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with airport personnel and local customers
  • Monitor renewals, market activity, competitive activity, and new sales opportunities
  • Help resolve customer or campaign-related issues as they arise
  • Spend regular time in the market meeting with customers and prospects


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–3+ years of B2B advertising or media sales experience preferred
  • Experience in out-of-home, airport, transit, cinema, billboard, radio, TV, digital media, sponsorship, or local advertising is highly relevant
  • Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business
  • Experience selling to local businesses, business owners, marketing leaders, agencies, or regional brands
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a local territory
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and personal accountability
  • Experience using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales tools
  • Professional presence and ability to work with customers, airport contacts, and internal teams
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must live within reasonable driving distance of Raleigh-Durham International Airport or have plans to relocate locally
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
