What to Expect

The Associate, Loss Mitigation is primarily responsible for managing a queue of delinquent accounts 80 days past due through charge off by investigating, monitoring and resolving accounts. The position will comply with internal policy and procedures on handling all accounts. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.

What You Will Do

1.ย ย ย ย ย  Manage a queue of delinquent 80 days past due accounts. Handle inbound and outbound calls as needed per position. Ensure all account activity is properly documented per department standards. Adhere to department standards for effective queue management.

2.ย ย ย ย ย  Performance Coaching - Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co-create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance.

3.ย ย ย ย ย  Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  1-2 years collection or relevant experience (automotive preferred)

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Previous experience in late-stage collections is preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  High school graduate or GED equivalent

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to independently manage their time daily to ensure productivity and goals are met

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong negotiation skills - Ability to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements with the customer

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
