As a Structural Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for;

  • Applying engineering mechanics and physics-based analysis methods to evaluate system performance and support design decisions.
  • Performing structural assessments using classical hand calculations, finite element analysis, and simulation techniques.
  • Analyzing components and assemblies for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, fracture resistance, and overall structural integrity.
  • Supporting requirements development and ensuring designs align with customer, program, and regulatory expectations.
  • Partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
  • Reviewing designs, analyses, and verification activities to provide independent technical evaluation and recommendations.
  • Generating technical reports, compliance documentation, and presentations that clearly communicate analysis results and engineering rationale.
  • Supporting qualification, verification, and validation efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Contributing to internal engineering standards, best practices, training materials, and process improvements.
  • Taking ownership of technical deliverables while driving projects forward in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4-7 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering environments.
  • Experience applying structural mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, and physics-based modeling techniques.
  • Strong background in finite element analysis, structural simulation, and engineering verification methods.
  • Required experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, Python, and Microsoft Office.
  • CATIA V5 experience preferred.
  • Background in pressurized actuation systems, pneumatic mechanisms, ordnance systems, or similar hardware is preferred.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred; candidates from other regulated industries will also be considered.
  • Experience working in requirements-driven environments with compliance, regulatory, and verification responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and the theory behind analytical and computational methods.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership, initiative, accountability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000

Location: Fully Remote
