As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at Brevard Family Counseling Services, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
• Formulate personalized treatment plans by collaborating with clients and focusing on their individual goals and challenges.
• Deliver engaging individual therapy sessions to a diverse clientele, addressing various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions that aim to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relational bonds.
• Continuously review and adapt treatment plans in response to clients’ progress and evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records, including detailed progress notes and treatment evaluations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide holistic care and build comprehensive support systems for clients.
• Offer crisis intervention support during acute distress or emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and staying informed about the latest therapeutic practices.
• Advocate for your clients' rights and well-being, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.

Your role will involve working with a varied client demographic, including adolescents dealing with family issues, adults coping with life transitions, and couples seeking to strengthen their relationships. Understanding and empathetic engagement will be key to establishing trust and facilitating healing. You will employ evidence-based practices that have proven effective in family dynamics and individual mental health treatment.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline.
• An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the state of Tennessee.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear, timely documentation including assessments and treatment plans.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience in providing therapy to individuals and couples.
• A background in working with both child and adult populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth technology.

This full-time LMFT position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
