The Litigation Attorney will manage a docket of litigation personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate cases for litigation and prepare lawsuits
- Draft and file complaints, discovery, motions, and responses
- Conduct written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, admissions)
- Take and defend depositions (parties, witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts)
- Attend court hearings, motion calendars, and mediations
- Prepare cases for mediation and trial
- Work with experts (medical providers, life care planners, accident reconstructionists, economists)
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense counsel
- Advise clients on case strategy, value, and litigation process
- Ensure compliance with Georgia Civil Practice Act, local court rules, and scheduling orders
- Assist in trial preparation including exhibits, witness preparation, and jury charges
- Coordinate with paralegals and case managers regarding medical records, liens, and case development
- Maintain accurate case notes and deadlines in the case management system
Required Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
- 1–7 years of litigation or personal injury
- Experience drafting motions and responding to discovery
- Knowledge of Georgia civil procedure and evidence
- Ability to independently manage a caseload
- Strong writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
- Comfortable with client interaction and depositions
Preferred Qualifications
- Jury trial experience or second-chair trial experience
- Mediation experience
- Experience with catastrophic injury or wrongful death cases
- Familiarity with medical records and billing
- Experience with case management software (MyCase, Clio, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
- $175,000-$225,000

Work Environment
This position involves direct client contact and frequent collaboration with paralegals and support staff. Attorneys are expected to handle hearings, mediations, and occasional travel to courts throughout Georgia.
