This unique opportunity involves working with students in a school setting based in Saint Helens, Oregon, where you will leverage your clinical expertise to provide essential mental health support to children and adolescents.

About the Organization

At Peaceful Mindcare Counseling Services, we prioritize mental health and well-being. Our mission is to offer exceptional, trusted counseling services that empower individuals to improve their mental health and achieve meaningful life changes. We foster an inclusive environment and are committed to providing high-quality care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Our organization values flexibility and integration, encouraging a collaborative approach to therapy that incorporates input from educators and families. You will have access to a range of digital tools and resources that support telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as an LCSW, you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of students’ mental health needs through methods such as interviews, questionnaires, and direct observation of behaviors, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their challenges.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans for students, addressing various mental health issues—including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional disturbances—by employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices to facilitate emotional regulation, coping strategies, and resilience building.
  • Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, school psychologists, and administrators, to foster a supportive environment that emphasizes the importance of mental health in educational success.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with students facing a variety of psychological challenges. This population includes children and adolescents dealing with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, learning difficulties, social skills deficits, and other emotional challenges. Your role is pivotal in helping these young individuals navigate their educational experiences while managing their mental health.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • An active and unrestricted LCSW license in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.
  • Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and a deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences and skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience in a school setting, demonstrating an ability to engage with students, educators, and parents effectively.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools for remote therapy.
  • Strong consultation skills to provide insights and strategies to non-clinical staff in support of students’ mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide:

  • Continuing education credits to enhance your professional development and maintain licensure.
  • A flexible schedule to support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development assistance, including workshops and training programs.
Career Growth Opportunities

Peaceful Mindcare values the growth and development of its staff members. As an LCSW with our organization, you will have access to mentorship programs, advanced training, and potential leadership roles within the counseling and mental health fields. We are committed to fostering your career and empowering you to make a lasting impact in the lives of young individuals.

Why Join Our Team

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents through mental health support, we invite you to consider joining our dedicated team. Your experience and compassion will play a crucial role in helping students overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives.
