Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clientsโ€™ histories of substance use and mental health challenges.
  • Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans targeting both addiction and underlying mental health issues throughout the duration of the therapy.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Collaborate with a diverse treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver integrated care that addresses all facets of a clientโ€™s well-being.
  • Involve and educate clientsโ€™ families in the therapeutic process, enhancing their understanding of addiction and ways to support their loved ones.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve adults and adolescents facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Many clients may have dual-diagnoses that require tailored approaches to therapy and recovery. You will be instrumental in creating a safe space where clients can express their feelings and overcome the stigmas often associated with addiction.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree.
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctorate in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • A strong foundation in knowledge concerning evidence-based practices pertinent to substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training, certifications, or clinical experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients and facilitate therapeutic discussions, showcasing strong motivational interviewing skills.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and utilizing telehealth systems.
Compensation and Benefits
