• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance use histories and associated mental health issues, ensuring you have a full understanding of their unique circumstances.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying mental health concerns, utilizing your expertise in evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients, enhance self-awareness, and promote coping strategies through modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
• Engage in regular collaboration with fellow treatment team members—including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals—to provide integrated care for clients.
• Educate and support clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process through family therapy and support groups.
• Maintain diligent documentation and accurate record-keeping in compliance with local regulations and organizational standards, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of client information.

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with substance use challenges, including but not limited to alcohol and opioid dependence. You will also work with clients who may have co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues, ensuring holistic and comprehensive treatment approaches tailored to their individual needs.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
• Specialized training or proven experience in addiction counseling, showcasing your ability to address substance use disorders effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, which is critical for developing successful treatment strategies.
• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills, with an ability to motivate clients through empathy, support, and empowerment.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to ensure effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Prior experience in a substance abuse treatment setting, particularly within a community health clinic environment, is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance record-keeping and client management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead group therapy sessions effectively and facilitate meaningful client interactions.
