  • Actively participate in regular case conferences and cultural competency training sessions to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Remain current with research and advancements in mental health practices to incorporate the latest findings into your therapeutic approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position places a strong emphasis on serving a diverse patient population, including individuals from varied cultural backgrounds, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ communities. You will work with clients facing a range of mental health challenges, providing services that address not only their symptoms but also the cultural factors that influence their experiences. Your ability to provide culturally competent care will directly enhance patient outcomes and foster a greater sense of community trust.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
  • Proven understanding of a variety of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and the importance of cultural competence.
  • Experience delivering therapeutic interventions utilizing culturally responsive methods.
  • Highly developed crisis intervention skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations calmly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling rapport-building with a wide spectrum of individuals.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
