Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Licensed Professional Counselor include a combination of clinical evaluation, treatment planning, and progress monitoring. Specific tasks include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitating regular communication with multidisciplinary team members, including supervisors, counseling staff, and family members to provide updates on client progress.
• Creating and sharing tentative session plans that outline client appointments, home visits, and observational requirements.
• Managing referrals for in-home visits to evaluate and observe client situations in familiar environments.
• Engaging in ongoing documentation of progress and adhering to program strategies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols.
• Participation in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and refine treatment approaches.
• Preparing comprehensive monthly and quarterly progress reports that reflect client advancements and challenges.
• Providing training sessions for staff and colleagues to ensure proficiency in implementing care strategies.
• Conducting follow-ups through interviews and additional home visits to continually meet client needs.
• Maintaining organized records to ensure accessibility for approved personnel, protecting client confidentiality and information integrity.
• Acting as a liaison between clients and the mental health community to facilitate access to development resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Professional Counselor will work with a diverse client population, including both adults and youth, who are navigating a variety of mental health challenges. Our focus is on providing trauma-informed care, family therapy, couples therapy, and support for those dealing with substance abuse issues. As a counselor, your role will directly impact the lives of individuals and families, assisting them on their journey to recovery and wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply legal and ethical considerations in counseling.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in working collaboratively within a healthcare team is essential.
• Familiarity with EMR software and digital health documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
