Work Model: Remote (Monthly travel to Montreal and regular travel throughout North America)

Compensation: Up to $200,000 USD + Annual Bonus

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an international leader in the frozen food industry with operations across North America and Europe. Our client has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and long-term customer partnerships and is experiencing continued growth, creating exciting leadership opportunities across the business.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for the Food Service and Industrial business across the Americas. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead commercial strategy, drive profitable revenue growth, develop high-performing sales teams, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization. The position offers significant executive exposure and a defined succession path that could lead to a Managing Director, Americas role.

The Role

You'll lead a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs), while remaining actively involved in strategic business development, key account management, supplier negotiations, and commercial planning. This role combines leadership with a hands-on approach, requiring someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating across multiple departments to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, Quality (FSQA), Operations, and European production teams, you'll help shape commercial strategy, support product development initiatives, and ensure profitable, sustainable growth across the region.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the Food Service and Industrial segments across North America.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth.
  • Develop pricing strategies, forecasting, annual business plans, and commercial KPIs.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing sales culture focused on accountability and customer success.
  • Set performance objectives and support employee development.
Business Development & Customer Management
  • Maintain relationships with strategic customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Lead contract negotiations and major commercial agreements.
  • Support key customer initiatives, RFPs, and strategic projects.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, Quality (FSQA), and European production teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 10+ years of sales and business development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and developing sales teams.
  • Strong background within the food industry, preferably frozen foods (frozen fruits, vegetables, French fries, or similar products).
  • Experience selling into the Foodservice channel is highly preferred; Industrial and Retail experience is also valuable.
  • Proven success selling throughout the U.S. market and managing national or strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, negotiations, forecasting, profitability, and strategic planning.
  • Experience collaborating across Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Native English speaker or fully bilingual in English (French and/or Spanish are considered assets).
Travel Requirements
  • Monthly travel to the Montreal headquarters.
  • Monthly travel throughout North America for customer visits, trade shows, leadership meetings, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Occasional international travel to meet with global teams and attend industry events.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary (Up to $200,000 USD)
