Department: Marketing

Position Summary: The Brand Director will lead Brew Dr.’s brand development to create iconic and beloved brands and beverages through insights, strategy, planning, orchestration, and measurement. The Brand Director will directly lead the multidisciplinary marketing team, indirectly lead the company’s cross-functional teams in service of the brand, and build strategic external agency and capability partnerships. Given the entrepreneurial dynamic of building a growing, values-driven, emerging B Corp brand, the Brand Director will be a strategic leader and hands-on player. 

Job Responsibilities:

Consumer-first Strategy

  • Possess the curiosity to uncover and leverage compelling and empathetic consumer insights

  • Start with the consumer in everything we do

  • Build the brand, shape the portfolio, and execute campaigns for consumer relevance, delight, and receptivity.

Brand Management

  • Lead and execute the development and deployment of brand strategy across product marketing, retail marketing, digital marketing, and brand management, including deployment of strategy across the sales team.

  • Set clear and tangible goals (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.

  • Ensure brand messaging and customer experience are consistent across all touchpoints, inclusive of retailer-facing decks.

Portfolio Development

  • Renovate and Innovate to constantly strengthen our product portfolio

Commercialization

  • Launch new and renovated products

  • Evaluate channel-specific needs, identify business opportunities, and track new and existing item distribution and performance.

  • Effectively communicate and motivate the Sales Team by delivering clear and compelling brand strategies and selling materials, including the development of retailer strategies, not just channel strategies.

  • Be the brand\'s voice and an expert on the category at key retailer meetings.

  • Partner with Sales to develop channel strategies and drive growth at key customers, including implications and actions across the “5Ps.”

Integrated Campaign Development & Execution

  • Turn insights into ideas.

  • Bring ideas to life on-brand and across the senses through compelling content & experiences.

  • Ensure activations are relevant, attention-worthy, and memorable to build lasting relationships. 

  • Lead planning and execution of media strategy across all platforms (paid, owned, earned)

Analytics & Measurement 

  • Develop experiential marketing/PR/digital marketing plans

  • Provide syndicated data insights that can be leveraged in selling materials, including retailer-facing decks, with a focus on category and brand performance insights.

  • Continuously analyze the competitive environment and consumer trends to ensure the company’s marketing strategy is competing effectively

Leadership

  • Provide hands-on direction and leadership to develop an engaged team.

  • Lead x-disciplinary and x-capability agency relationships. 

Be a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by bringing forward meaningful insights, ensuring cross-functional alignment on key brand decisions, and having a strong grasp on total company goals. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant brand experience (CPG experience and knowledge preferred)

  • Creative thinker who can champion the brand and bring it to life

  • Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams directly and indirectly

  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively present with confidence

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and financial/business understanding

  • Demonstrated experience in Brand Strategy, Insights, Integrated Campaign Development & Execution, Media Strategy & Planning, Content Creation, Analytics, & Measurement

  • Experience working with and managing outside agencies.
