• Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using solution-focused therapies and evidence-based practices to help students achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely records of assessments and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and mental health professionals, to coordinate care and support services for students.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during moments of acute distress.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in clinical social work to enhance service delivery and professional development.

You will primarily work with a diverse group of school-aged children facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing and valuing the diverse backgrounds of each student.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license in Virginia.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and team members.
• A commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with developments in mental health.

Experience working in school settings or with child and adolescent populations is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to understand the unique challenges faced by students. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and techniques is also preferred.
