$50,000 sign-on bonus if you commit to 1 year!

Salary :$245,000 starting and negotiable


The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Tax Director to lead and grow our tax team. This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, client advisory, and operational excellence. This is a full-time remote role, and the right person will be included in decision-making as part of the leadership team.


What You’ll Do

✅ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of tax professionals

✅ Oversee complex tax compliance and planning engagements for businesses and individuals

✅ Collaborate with legal and accounting / Fractional CFO counterparts to deliver holistic client solutions

✅ Manage and grow client relationships through proactive tax strategy and advisory

✅ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws – with a sharp eye for planning opportunities

✅ Develop and implement scalable workflows and technology integrations (we use Ignition, Karbon, and more)

✅ Stay ahead of tax law changes and advise both clients and internal teams accordingly


What We’re Looking For

  • CPA or EA required; JD or MST a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a public accounting or multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication – you can explain complex tax concepts in plain English
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing, tech-forward, collaborative environment
  • Someone who has worked extensively with a workflow / practice management tool like Karbon
