About the Role This opportunity is for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Payroll Specialist who will support day-to-day payroll operations across multiple locations and help strengthen scalable payroll processes and systems. The position works closely with Accounting, People Operations, business teams, and external providers to maintain accurate payroll data, support compliance, and deliver a reliable employee payroll experience. The role includes multi-state payroll responsibilities as well as Canadian and Indian payroll processing. It also provides opportunities to contribute to payroll system administration, reporting, reconciliations, process improvement, automation, and the continued development of a modern, scalable payroll function. What You'll Do Support accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple locations, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule. Manage key payroll activities, including employee changes, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and off-cycle payments. Process Canadian and Indian payroll while ensuring compliance with applicable local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in each country. Partner with Accounting, People Operations, and business teams to ensure payroll information is accurate, complete, and aligned across systems. Support payroll system administration, including employee data maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, and process improvements. Assist with payroll-related reconciliations, reporting, month-end activities, and audit requests. Maintain accurate payroll records and support compliance with applicable payroll, wage and hour, and employment requirements across jurisdictions. Partner with internal teams and external providers to support an evolving global payroll environment. Respond to employee payroll questions accurately, professionally, discreetly, and with a strong customer-service mindset. Identify opportunities to simplify payroll processes, improve accuracy, leverage automation, and support scalable payroll operations. Stay informed about payroll trends, system enhancements, and regulatory changes that may affect payroll practices. Qualifications Experience supporting payroll operations in a fast-paced, growing environment. Working knowledge of payroll processes, payroll systems, and applicable payroll regulations. Experience with multi-state payroll is required. Exposure to global payroll operations is preferred. Experience working with payroll technology platforms; Paycom experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity. Ability to research payroll issues, solve problems, and continuously improve processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote and distributed environment. Interest in continuing to develop payroll expertise and contributing to a modern, scalable payroll function. Preferred Experience Experience working in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company environment. Exposure to payroll transformation, process improvement, automation, or payroll system optimization projects. Experience supporting employees across multiple states or countries. Familiarity with payroll reporting, analytics, and compliance practices. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or an interest in pursuing payroll-related professional development.
